About Us

Our History

On June 22, 1962, a group of eight people, with limited resources but unlimited faith, pooled their savings to form a credit union that would assist working people reach their financial horizons and dreams. Today the membership exceeds 1,660 and continues to rely on it’s founding principles of “people helping people.” Located on 7895 HWY 43 in McIntosh, Alabama, MCFCU serves employees of BASF, Exceptional Children, Inc., Huntsman, Sartomer Inc., Washington County Commission, Washington County Hospital and Nursing Home, Washington County School Board and Adecco and their immediate families. SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE MISSION

The Supervisory Committee is the member’s representative. The primary function of the committee is to make internal audits designed to determine that each area of the credit union is carrying out the plans, policies, and procedures for which it is responsible. Member complaints or concerns should be referred to the Supervisory Committee.
